1、Ubuntu 开发更新
严格按照预定计划开发Ubuntu 11.10，距离正式版本发布还有3周时间。如果各位想要组织Ubuntu 11.10的Release Party，点击此处查看信息了解详情。Ubuntu 11.10 Beta2也已于9月23日发布，希望各位尽可能的测试。在Beta2中，有很多值得探索的新东东。
在接下来的几周中，我们的任务很明显，就是修复提交较多的bug。想起正式版本发布，真是激动人心啊。 记住：要毫不犹豫的向我们提交您的bug或者您尝试修复下bug。如果您的bug补丁没有出现在正式版中，也会有可能出现在稳定版本的更新中。除去开发活动外，还有很多英雄们一直在努力着：软件包翻译、文档更新、发布公告写作、组织UDS等等一系列的工作。
严格的总体来说，下周，我们将会进行“正式版冻结”（Final Freeze），我们也会停止翻译不在语言包里的内容。接下来一周，我们会拿出Ubuntu 11.10的RC版本，打包最终的语言包。如果一切顺利的话，10月13日发布Ubuntu 11.10正式版本。
上周的报告中提到过，这里再说一遍：Colin Watson 12日发送给我们一个帮助请求，就是不能从目前控制的源构建软件包列表。我们已经把不能构建软件包列表的软件包从661个降到了165个。再次感谢你们的努力。一些简单的问题已解决，如果您敢于挑战艰难的工作，可以考虑帮助弄下那些棘手的家伙。

我们一直都在寻找组织Ubuntu Release Party的兄弟。Ubuntu Oneiric 11.10 将在10月13日发布，大家为啥子不组织一个聚会呢？

北美洲: Kitchener (Canada), Toronto (Canada), Mexico (Mexico), SeaTac (USA), Lakeland (USA), Melbourne/Viera (USA). (Also there’s the Panama team still looking for a venue.)

Triage Debian RC bugs we’re still lacking in Ubuntu.
Also is the Ubuntu Mozilla team looking for help, so if you’re excited about Mozilla and what’s happening there, join IRC, talk to the guys on ubuntu-mozillateam on irc.freenode.net.
And then there’s Security bugs you can take a look at, the team is a friendly bunch and they’re incredibly helpful in getting your patch reviewed.
Also is the Server team interested in your help: merges from Debian is one possibility, fixing important bugs another.
